Ms. Martinez is an environmental and social justice activist. As part of her work, she has been a speaker at the New Horizons in Conservation Conference at Yale, Multicultural Education Conference at Sacramento State University, CA, and the Climate Uplift Conference in Utah. She has led the conversation, prepared workshops about the environment, diversity, equity, and inclusion in conservation and the Outdoors.
Furthermore, her work also focuses on advocating for educational resources about general science in multiple languages.
Lastly, she advocates for undocumented students' equal rights in higher education and institutions/organizations to provide resources for them as they navigate higher education and the job market. As dreamers walk on a nonlinear path, and it takes them extra steps to get there.
